Conference on Agricultural Science for Smart Agriculture and Rural Development: Opportunities, Challenges, and Solutions

On the morning of December 18, at the Hai Phong City Conference Center, the Union of Scientific and Technical Associations of the city, in collaboration with the Institute of Innovation and Digital Transformation and the Hai Phong Electronics and Informatics Association, organized a Conference on Agricultural Science for Smart Agriculture and Rural Development: Opportunities, Challenges, and Solutions.

Doctor Bui Thanh Tung - Chairman of the Union of Scientific and Technical Associations of the city; Director of the Institute for Innovation and Digital Transformation Nguyen Thi Bich Lan; Chairman of the Electronics and Informatics Association of Hai Phong Bui Xuan Tuan co-chaired the seminar. The seminar was attended by representatives of leaders from departments, sectors, and related units.

At the seminar, delegates listened to experts and scientists who presented and exchanged ideas on topics related to: solutions for developing smart new rural commune models (NTM); application of lighting technology and IoT control in high-tech manufacturing; application of Industry 4.0 technology - Anti-counterfeiting and origin tracing; digital transformation orientation and smart agriculture, rural development models in the period 2021 - 2025; the role of science, technology, and innovation in building smart rural areas; effective implementation of smart rural development model solutions in rural areas, bringing digital economy development to all regions.

Speaking at the seminar, Doctor Bui Thanh Tung, Chairman of the Union of Scientific and Technical Associations of the city, emphasized: The seminar is a practical activity contributing to the successful implementation of the Prime Minister's decisions: No. 749/QD-TTg approving the National Digital Transformation Program; No. 263/QD-TTg approving the National Target Program for New Rural Development (NTM), period 2021 - 2025; No. 923/QD-TTg approving the science and technology program serving the construction of NTM, period 2021 - 2025; No. 922/QD-TTg approving the Rural Tourism Program in NTM construction; No. 924/QD-TTg approving the Digital Transformation Program in NTM construction, aiming for smart NTM, period 2021 - 2025. To ensure the success of the seminar, Doctor Bui Thanh Tung, Chairman of the Union of Scientific and Technical Associations of the city, suggested that delegates actively exchange, discuss, and share valuable experiences, innovative approaches, and bravely raise existing issues, limitations, and difficulties in the current process of building smart agriculture and rural areas.

Current legal documents on Traceability in Vietnam

On June 30, 2019, Vietnam and the EU officially signed EVFTA and IPA. On January 21, 2020, the European Union International Trade Commission approved a recommendation to ratify the EVFTA. Standing great opportunities for the government to open up, the legal corridor also requires opening up for import-export businesses in this market of more than 500 million people (27 countries).
