Participate in the "Hanoi Innovative Startup Competition 2023".

The annual 'Innovation Startup Day' organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology - TECHFEST VIETNAM 2023 aims to promote innovative solutions from startups in the era of rapid technological development, attracting resources including experts, intellectuals, domestic entrepreneurs, and overseas Vietnamese to boost economic growth. This year's TECHFEST aspires to inspire and ignite the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among all segments of the population, businesses, and especially youth and students, in line with the directions from the Prime Minister, reflecting the ambitious desire for a brighter and more civilized future. VN Check this year was directly selected by the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology to compete in the city-level finals, achieving the Second Prize and being nominated to participate in the National TechFest 2023.

VN Check is an Innovative Startup Project implemented by GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY AND DIGITIZATION CORPORATION since September 27, 2019. Initially, the project was named NAMYMART with the aim of building an E-commerce Platform for Traditional Vietnamese Medicine applying traceability 4.0. After 03 months of implementation, NAMYMART had to temporarily stop because there was no traceability unit that met the requirements specified in Decision 100/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, as the goal set by NAMYMART. After market research, technology study, and with the support of investors, VN Check was officially established with the desire to develop a full-fledged traceability 4.0 technology platform with solutions for the agriculture sector (from production, processing, packaging, logistics, distribution) to serve all Vietnamese people and the world.

Faced with numerous global challenges, especially the past two years of the pandemic, it has become evident that agriculture is not only a national competitive advantage but also a crucial condition for propelling the country into a new era of specialization, standardization, and modernization. Vietnam, with its significant advantages in natural resources, climate, and high-quality labor force, has the opportunity to break through and make innovative strides in its agriculture sector, which has lagged behind for many years.

The issues we have addressed are longstanding challenges in Vietnam's agriculture sector. Firstly, the standardization of agricultural production activities remains inadequate. Due to limited awareness among producers and insufficient production resources, specialization and automation are low, leading to various issues in standardizing production processes. The state's macroeconomic management role cannot fully replace the people's involvement. Therefore, in rural and ethnic minority areas, most production activities are still very manual. Secondly, the awareness of some businesses is limited, focusing solely on profits and neglecting social responsibilities. Dirty products and counterfeit goods are prevalent across provinces and cities, resulting in clear consequences for food safety - with over 120,000 deaths from cancer annually (Source: Ministry of Health). Thirdly, the adoption of technology by the population, especially in rural areas with low incomes, is limited. The educational level of the majority of the production workforce often only reaches the secondary level. Therefore, the transfer and adoption of new technologies are challenging.

Comprehensive technological solutions from VN Check

After more than three years of startup and experimentation with over 100 products, we understand the challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises, especially innovative startups. We deeply understand that investing in technology development requires a lot of resources, from human resources to technology and finance. The image of families with cancer patients, facing a death sentence - The pain of those families, mothers, wives, and unfortunate individuals afflicted with that dreadful disease always weighs heavily on my mind. Therefore, we are determined to fulfill VN Check's mission - to build Vietnam's first 4.0 traceability platform, healing the wounds of everyone when thinking about contaminated food.

VN Check relies on the foundation of information technology and agricultural science, which is decisive. Over the past three years, we have gained experience with farmers and businesses in many localities and have come up with valuable solutions and experiences. It can be said that applying technology to agriculture is a very difficult problem, but fundamentally, we have found the solution by applying three core technologies today. Internet of Things (IoT) technology participates in collecting real-time data (human factors, weather, diseases) to timely alert unusual fluctuations in production. Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is involved in verifying data, combating counterfeiting, and supporting farmers lacking expertise when participating in production. Blockchain technology helps identifying and controling data in real-time... All of these technologies are thoroughly researched, operate highly effectively, and are continuously connected in real-time, ensuring the integrity of data when tracing origins.

In October of this year, in the spirit of the joyous victory of the Capital Liberation Day, VN Check celebrates its 3rd anniversary. For a startup project, this marks a significant milestone in the journey of conquering greater heights. To commemorate the 69th anniversary of the liberation of the Capital (10/10/1954 - 10/10/2023), VN Check is honored to receive the Second Prize in the 2023 Startup Innovation Contest. This is also an important milestone to acknowledge the efforts and dedication of the Executive Board, advisory board, and founding team over the past three years.

On behalf of GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY AND DIGITIZATION JOINT STOCK COMPANY, we sincerely thank the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Department of Science and Technology of Hanoi City, and the organizing committee of the contest for providing a valuable platform for Startups. We deeply appreciate the trust and companionship of investors and members who have made invaluable contributions to VN Check's achievements today. In the time ahead, VN Check will strive to improve its technological solutions. We eagerly look forward to continued support and assistance from investors and partners to bring VN Check into service for the lives of all Vietnamese people.
